We just started a new TOB session in Glen Burnie.  Yes, I know that the event is advertised on this same website but I figured that it would be good if we started a thread here to answer any questions that people might have.

So have at.  We have our ears open.

TOB New Session update

This week we will be viewing and discussing the rest of Created and Redeemed Session 4 which focuses on Eschatological Man and Celibacy for the Kingdom.

We've had a great turnout thus far and there is always room for more.

God Bless.

I can't believe I missed it! I was so pumped to come to TOB tonight, and I ended up at school - it was Back to School night, and I didn't get to leave until 8:30! (I thought I'd be out of there by 7:30.) So I seriously was only out of school for about two hours today... I was a teacher until 3:30, then I was a student from 4:30-6, then I sat in traffic until 6:45, and I was a teacher again until 8:30. Anyway, if you figured out the great mystery of marriage, please explain it to me.  I like the song from Caedmon's Call - "The only problem I have with these mysteries is they're so mysterious."

Hopefully I'll see you next week,

Hmm, was this in Church of the Crucifixion?

There are meetings there now that are totally more awesome: church history classes.

When they say they will meet, they really meet.  When they won't meet, it's announced in writing well in advance.  There are refreshments in the morning class in the hall.  Lots of people attend the morning Mass before the morning meeting.  There are evening classes too.  I'll attend one today (Wednesday).

I am very happy to report that some people from young adult Catholic events participate.

I told one of the older people the reason that not many young adults (20s to 40ish) participate is because life is so tough on our age group.  We take care of older people and work our necks off to survive with an economy that's been toasted for decades by the older generation.  And I happily pointed out that some of us made it there nevertheless.

Now: WHERE WERE THE REST OF YOU!?

Doctors, martyrs, church councils, a talk by a priest who is a church history expert, and we've got a long way still to go.  And the ancient adults are showing us up!

Did Jesus ever say that if it's hard to serve Him, then don't bother?
